I am Raquel Fernández, a designer, micropigmentation technician, and creator of Duna prostheses.

My journey took an unexpected turn two years ago, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This event marked a turning point in my life but, far from stopping me, it became the driving force behind a new creative direction.

After three decades immersed in the fashion industry, four years ago I decided to broaden my creative horizons into micropigmentation, combining artistic precision with my fascination for design and aesthetics.

After going through my own cancer treatment, the need arose to restore my body image, and I set out to find a solution that was both realistic and credible to replace the lack of volume in the areola/nipple complex.

In the field of oncology aesthetics, I did not find any option that fit my situation and provided an authentic appearance of nipple volume. From that moment on, I made a deep commitment to myself to find the perfect solution for my case, which led to the creation of medical-grade silicone prostheses that replicate the areola/nipple complex with precision and absolute realism, including projection.

I decided to share this solution with all women who have the same longing, so they could regain a body image closer to what they had before the illness, as well as emotions lost during the process, such as our own sensuality.
